The new Macy's wine brand, all selections from California, will feature five (5) varietal types: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz, and a Sparkling Wine (see bottle images on right). Suggested retail price will be $11.95 per 750ml bottle.
KDM has spearheaded the effort on Macy's North's behalf. "We're very excited about the prospects for this new wine brand and look forward to its beneficial impact on Macy's wine category," said Jonathan Gelula, KDM's President. "Macy's North will now have a flagship wine brand that creates positive interest and excitement, builds continued store loyalty, and enhances the overall Macy's brand. Not only are these programs compelling branding tools - but they're important for the bottom line as well."
Macy's new wines will debut on the shelves during the fourth quarter, 2007 launching with Macy's North stores in Illinois and Wisconsin.
