The hardware products are comprised of a variety of powerline, wireless, wired and stand-alone low cost introductory products, making it affordable to any size campus. Two way communications allow automated control of devices in response to price, peak load shaving or demand reduction signals.

Also on display, GreenGuard Econer by Nortex, a powerline carrier communication system. The system is based on the eLOG mini PLC (Programmable Logic Control) device.
The eLOG can be configured as a smart controller for air conditioning, coolers, chillers, light dimming, appliances control and interfacing with sub metering for total energy reading, temperature monitoring, analysis and real time power factor corrections.
The eLOG is uploaded with configuration via the powerline communication by the main concentrator terminal DCT-11 which is a gateway for up to 1024 eLOG devices.
The GreenGuard Econer by Nortex powerline communication is based on a combination of a spread spectrum DSP (Digital Signal Processing) modem meeting the CENELEC Std. and an intelligent dynamic adaptive mesh networking layer, using real time updated relaying feature according to environment power grid conditions for a significant coverage performance. First installations of GreenGuard Econer by Nortex, fully integrated with the Green Edge Systems dashboard platform are expected later in 2008.
