The Garlic Italian Country Grille Reviewed in South Shore Living



The Garlic Italian Country Grille was recently given high marks in a restaurant review in South Shore Living magazine. The magazine provides information about the lifestyle, interests and activities of the Boston area's South Shore. Feature stories also provide information on local figures, architecture, events, style, dining and entertainment.

The article titled "Tuscan-Inspired Tavern" provides a lengthy review on the restaurant's welcoming dcor, authentic flavors and favorite dishes. "Owners Tom and Laurie LaGumina brought in most of the wood from two barns found in central Vermont, creating an impressive bar and gorgeous tabletops," wrote South Shore Living writer Kellie K. Speed. "Scattered throughout the restaurant are hanging garlic bunches, wine bottles and grape vines."

Speed provides information on the restaurants early bird specials, dessert list, children's menu, tapas selection and main entres. "The Tuscan chicken was hailed the winner of the evening tossed with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, shallots, rosemary, and of course, garlic in a marsala demi-glaze served over fettuccine."

Dishes are generous and reasonably priced, ranging from $12.99 to $23.99. Tuscan favorites are also offered and include garlic rack of lamb, pork osso bucco and a Tuscan veal stew.
