Al Casapulla's Subs, Steaks & Pizza is a Millville, Delaware-based restaurant, and was recently featured in the Daily Times, a local paper, for having the best cheesesteak in the area.
Al Casapulla's uses sirloin, provolone cheese and hoagie rolls shipped from South Philadelphia for the made to order cheesesteak sandwiches.
"In the summertime, we use 500 to 600 pounds of steak a week," says Casapulla. "We draw people from all over. They come here and get the sandwiches to travel. I've heard of them going as
far as Germany. When you make a good sandwich or whatever it is, people really appreciate it."
Al Casapulla's also features a menu of steaks, hoagies, Paninis, pasta and pizza for people who are looking for an alternative to the cheesesteak, and feels that clients don't only come
in for the sandwich, but also for the atmosphere of the sandwich, which he compares to television's Cheers because of the staff to customer friendliness and recognition.
