City Canyons Records Jen Elliott and Indie Superstar Lucinda Team Up...



Jen Elliott and Bluestruck introduce Danbury, Connecticut to its hard-hitting new EP, this damn song at a rockin's evening on Thursday, May 18 at 8 p.m. at Molly Darcy'ss Irish Pub on 34A Mill Plain Road in Danbury. Headlining the show with Jen will be indie superstar Lucinda, a longtime Danbury favorite. The performance at Molly Darcy'ss is one of the highlights of a Jen Elliott and Bluestruck tour which has included among other dates, engagements in Albany NY, Syracuse NY, Watertown CT, and Manhattan.



Jen Elliott-- who grew up in Jacksonville, FL but now lives in Manhattan-- was raised on traditional gospel and she still writes and sings straight from her soulbut now it'ss rock n's roll that is her first love. Her debut album with her band Bluestruck, THE SECRET'sS OUT, received Top 30 college radio airplay and critical acclaim from the press nationwide. Jen has been featured in issues of Entertainment Today, The Downtown Express, The Sun Herald, Inside Connection and Keyboard Magazine. To date, the band has performed at the Black Potatoe Festival 2005, NY Auto Show 2005, GoGirls Elite Showcase 2004, headlined at the Global Entertainment & Media Summits 2003/2004. Jen continually performs at top venues in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut and have opened for Nils Lofgren, The Little River Band, and Nine Days. Her fans eagerly await her new full album 8 DAYS DOWN, to be released this fall. Music fans can currently hear Jen on college and independent radio and podcasts throughout North America including Danbury'ss own WXCI.



With heartfelt lyrics, strong and memorable melodies, and an undeniable stage presence, Lucinda has captured a grassroots following that most signed artists would envy. With over 27,000 CDs sold at live shows, Lucinda'ss achievements, among many others, include a national Top 30 AC Radio Hit singleGemini Moon in 2004, Outstanding Achievement as a Performing Artist from the Connecticut Songwriters Association, two time showcasing artist for the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City, live national broadcast on NBC Sports to benefit the Special Olympics, and Best Female Vocalist three years running from Cameo Broadcasting'ss Songwriters Network. Lucinda has opened for numerous National and International Recording Artists including; The Guess Who, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Eddie Money, Pat Benatar, Patty Smythe and Scandal, Stevie Nicks, and Bare Naked Ladies among many others.
