Dante's Restaurant and Bar, an Italian eatery in Barrington, NJ, was recently reviewed boasting rave reviews of their extensive menu and friendly staff. The daily newspaper provides information on local news, sports, things to do and local figures in the South New Jersey area.
The article, titled "Young staff is heart of Barrington's Dante's," provides commentary on the restaurant's young and hip staff, dcor and menu favorites. "The 4-month-old Barrington
establishment, formerly the Barrington Pub, sets the hipster scene with large, hand-painted art work and black-and-white photos of Hollywood's past stars," wrote Courier Post staff writer
Bill Reinhardt. "Nifty place mats with photos of Sinatra, Garland, Dean, Monroe and other top performers of the Rat Pack days make it difficult to turn to the menu."
Dante Ross is the owner and chef offers Italian cuisine and specialty cocktails in his casual restaurant. Dante's offers appetizers, salads, soups, paninis, home made pasta, poultry and
seafood entrees and desserts. "Adding to the satisfaction is my blackened tuna entree ($18), a thin but ample portion of nicely done fish heavy with spirited spices that stay on the
tongue between forkfuls," wrote Reinhardt." A side of garlic-mashed, red-skin potatoes crushed with their skins on is flavorful but on the dense side, but a nifty veggie mix marinated in
olive oil, basil and Italian spices before being put under the broiler is thrilling."
If the eclectic menu wasn't enough to impress, their long list of specialty martinis and cocktails are sure to please. Try the Dante's Inferno, a blend of Stoli ohranj vodka, triple sec
and pomegranate juice or the Marilyn Monroe martini with Stoli razberi vodka, Chambord liqueur, orange juice and champagne.
