Prana Restaurant and Lounge Featured in Sunday StarLedger Newspaper

A new addition to the New Jersey nightlife has come in the form of Prana Restaurant and Lounge. Restaurant-goers can enjoy the bar and dance area, as well. The restaurant's cuisine is a mixture of Asian, Indian and Middle Eastern flavors. Prana's kitchen is run by Chef Jarrett Bennett, who has gained experiences at places like the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and St. Regis Hotel in New York City.

According to the reporter for the Sunday Star-Ledger newspaper, the food was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Much of Prana's restaurant review was a tantalizing tour of various tastes from around the world. The reviewer peppered his article with vivid descriptions of the menu items.

"Five crunchy duck samosas ($12) with Granny Smith apples are counterpointed with a piquant quince sauce, while black 'forbidden' rice underlies delicately poached coconut shrimp that show their mettle with fried eggplant and a well-modulated hot and sour sauce," said Cody Kendall, the author of the review.

According to the article, the ambiance and color scheme of the restaurant lends itself to a young and fashionable crowd, with an open floor for dancing, a small bar for drinking and couches for lounging.

Kendall also notes that "Pranais part of a hot trend that doubles high-trend restaurant with a club. It's geared to luring those who might otherwise spend their money in Manhattan."
