The Pashmina Store Announces Move to Larger Warehouse and Distribution Center

The Pashmina Store, a Texas-based online retailer known for its selection of luxurious two and three-ply wraps, shawls and scarves made from the finest quality Pashmina from Nepal, has announced that it has moved to a new facility that almost doubles its warehouse and distribution center space. By increasing space from 2,270 square feet to 4,260 square feet, the Company is better able to handle its continuing sales growth, to lower costs and to introduce new product lines.

The Pashmina Store has experienced sales growth of over 30% each of the last 4 years so extra warehouse space was needed just for the existing product lines. Excess space was obtained to allow the introduction of new luxury cashmere (http://www.thepashminastore.com/Cashmere-Blankets-s/7.htm) products lines such as clothing, bedding and pashmina shawls (http://www.thepashminastore.com/Pure-Pashmina-Shawls-3-Ply-s/12.htm), wraps and scarves with elaborate prints and embellishments. Since the additional space allows greater inventory on-hand, larger production orders can be made to lower product costs.

"This move allows us to remain competitive even in this time of the weakening dollar, which has greatly increased our costs since we import from Nepal," said Blair Rhodes, Vice-President of The Pashmina Store.
