Ralley Releases 2006 in Stained Glass Wall Calendar Via CafePress.com

Ralley today announced the launch of the much-awaited 2006 in Stained Glass wall calendar.

Featuring fine examples of Neil Ralley s award-winning photographs of vintage stained glass the calendar features images selected for each month according to the Revised Common Lectionary.

Stained glass masterpieces from both sides of the Atlantic are included in the calendar. Makers and designers represented include Tiffany Studios, William Morris, Edward Burne-Jones, Ford Madox Brown and Henry Holiday.

Subjects represented include the Baptism of Jesus, St Peter and St Paul, Jesus Blessing the Children, the Nativity and The Passion as well as Old Testament figures such as Moses, Elijah, Solomon and David.

When announcing the launch Neil Ralley explained why CafePress had been selected to publish the calendar - (CafePress) really does a first class job, they use 100lb high gloss paper which gives the colours of the stained glass a vibrance that other papers would find hard to match. They also have a tremendous track record in delivering customer satisfaction whether it is in the quality of the product, the timeliness of delivery or the prompt resolution of the few problems which inevitably occur in high-volume manufacturing and service businesses.

The other thing which is important to us, Ralley added, is that we do not have to take risks under- or over-estimating demand. If 10,000 people decide to order one of our calendars for Christmas we know that there is a good chance that they will not be disappointed even if they leave it to the last minute. If we were commissioning the printing ourselves we would not be able to handle such a last-minute situation.

The launch has been timed to coincide with the release of a range of items for the Christmas season. These include Christmas cards, Christmas ornaments and other gift items which incorporate Christmas-themed designs in stained glass.

As with all other items in the CafePress/Ralley collection the designs are bold, have strong lines and are brightly-coloured. The images also succeed in portraying some of that elusive 3-dimensional glassness of actual stained glass which is so difficult to capture on film.
