TD-9 users get 50 drum kits, 522 drum instruments, and 50 play-along songs featuring real audio instead of MIDI sequences. The USB port allows drummers to upload audio files in .wav format, backup their data, or transfer recordings to a computer for further editing. The TD-9 Drum Module is the backbone of both the Roland TD-9S and Roland TD-9SX electronic drum sets from the V-Tour series. Both V drum sets feature Roland's patented mesh drumhead technology with dual triggering on the head and rim. The heads were designed to improve the drum sets' response and acoustic realism.
