The By Design Showrooms announce they will be closing all 4 retail stores in an effort to reinvent themselves as one unified store later this summer. With the nation on the brink of a recession, this measure is being taken so the 15-year old business can remain in operation amidst the current economic downturn and not be a statistic of the gloomy prediction that 2008 will be a record year for retail bankruptcies nationwide, surpassing levels since the 1991 recession.

The By Design Showrooms own the strip mall property on which the 4 stores are located and their goal is to downsize from a total of 11,500 square feet to 3,000 square feet and lease out the other 3 retail condos.
