GeoPense Joins the GPUGRID.net Project Doing Work in MolecularBiology

GeoPense has announced its participation in the GPUGRID.net project. This project works on problems in molecular biology, including the function of proteins and other related molecular events. GeoPense is an effort is to bring together widely distributed computing power to be applied to several tasks in the realm of scientific research.

GeoPense endeavours to gather computing resources from government, health care, education, industry and individuals for this purpose. Assistance is given freely to those participating. When set up properly, this computing power uses only dormant computer time, resulting in no adverse effect on the day-to-day operations of an institution. Certificates of participation are available on the GeoPense website and from the individual project preferences pages. On-site assistance, mentoring, and presentations are all available upon request. In addition, active displays of project status can be set up, providing excellent public viewing of an institution'ss participation.
