A UK Hypnotherapist is attempting to build an online version of the Epcot millennium sculpture, with a twist.
The idea behind the Million People Page is to 's8220;create a unique single-page snapshot of the world's8217;s internet users and how they are connected.'s8221;
Each picture on the home page is supplied with a profile and ranking, and is coloured according to country the person is from. Ranking changes daily, depending on the number of visitors
to each profile, and the number of connections that each person has made.
Following the theory of the 'sSix Degrees of Separation's, in which every person in the world is said to be connected by up to six other people, the site encourages people to tell their
friends. Each time a person joins the site, they have the opportunity to connect their profile to the person who referred them, building a picture of their extended network.
The site will ultimately represent up to one in every 1000 internet users, so as well as offering a pictorial snapshot of the world online, it may also offer some interesting insights
into how information, ideas and even viruses spread across the net.
