AhnLab Signs Deal To Advance into the Southeast Asian Corporate and...

AhnLab, Inc., one of the leading provider of integrated security solutions and services, announced that it recently signed a corporate and retail market reseller partnership contract with PANIMX Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. to capture the corporate and retail market in the Southeast Asian region.



As a result of this contract, PANIMX will represent AhnLab as a security products reseller for corporate license sales in Singapore and other neighboring countries including Malaysia, Vietnam, and Brunei. PANIMX is also scheduled to roll out AhnLab's security products for consumer market including AhnLab Security Pack and AhnLab SpyZero 2.0 in Singapore and Malaysia in August. AhnLab already provided AhnLab Security Pack, V3Net, and AhnLab Policy Center to the Ministry of Education Brunei through PANIMX. With AhnLab security products, PANIMX expects to generate USD 1.5 million in annual revenue across the region.



AhnLab is showing accomplishments by capturing the online security market through partnership with major Southeast Asian IT corporations such as Boleh Net (www.boleh.com), Terra ICT (www.terra.com.my), and TM Net (Telecom Malaysia Net - www.tm.net.my) and furthermore increases its influence on the market by developing the regional reseller and channel structures. In additional, AhnLab had an opportunity to improve its brand awareness by demonstrating a variety of security product packages for personal and corporate users.



"We expect that the reliance on AhnLab technology which has been developed through the major Southeast Asian Internet services and game portals since last year will be continued in the corporate and consumer market." Charles Kim, the CEO of AhnLab, added, "As a part of AhnLab's global strategies, we will make the Southeast Asian market as the third overseas development base after Japan and China."



In the meanwhile, AhnLab is in process of ensuring additional channels for stronger operation in the Southeast Asian region and plans to complete its partnership contracts with four local corporations in August. These partner companies plan to act as the local resellers or retailers of major AhnLab solutions and services including:



* Corporate license - AhnLab Security Pack, V3Net 6.0

* Consumer products - AhnLab Security Pack, AhnLab SpyZero 2.0

* Online Security Service (ASP)

* Online Game Security Solution - AhnLab HackShield for Online Game

* Keyboard Security Service - AhnLab MyKeyDefense

* Network Security Appliance - AhnLab TrusGuard 3100
