Las Vegas, NV September 14, 2007 -- An estimated 500 of the world's best table soccer (a.k.a. "foosball") players are now rapidly gearing up to compete for over $100,000 in cash, prizes and titles at Corona Light's Tornado Table Soccer World Championship Series tournament. To take place September 26-30, 2007 at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the tournament will include a wide variety of events, including doubles, singles and mixed doubles in divisions for masters, pros, semi-pros and amateurs.

All eyes will be on the members of the U.S. National Team, as they compete for the first time on home turf against World #1-ranked Austria -- winner of last year's International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF) World Cup of Table Soccer in Hamburg, Germany. Austria, along with teams from Germany, France, Canada, Malaysia, the UK and more will square off in a special National Teams event, one of only four held this year and the only one held in North America. Competition and international rivalries are expected to be very intense, with players also having individual opportunities to qualify for trips to the ITSF World Championship Finals in St. Vincent, Italy this coming October.

The competition will take place on Brunswick's Tornado Table Soccer tables, one of five official tables used for international pro tour play. The event is an ITSF World Championship class tournament, and is further sanctioned by the United States Table Soccer Federation (USTSF). Sponsors of the event are Corona Light, Brunswick, and the Riviera Hotel and Casino (reservations: 1-800-634-6753) while sponsors of the U.S. National Team include Brunswick, Borden Milk Products of North Texas, Warrior Custom Golf, Bonzini USA, Foosball.com and TTR MasterWraps. Professional video production is provided by InsideFoos.com.

The tournament has additional categories for all skill levels and for ages from junior to senior, and also includes numerous specialty events such as "2-ball rollerball,"forward shootout," and "goalie war." Opening events begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26th, with most finals occurring on Sunday the 30th. Spectators and press are welcome and there is no admission fee to enter the tournament room. There are entry fees for players who wish to compete in an event.

This is the last major stop on the ITSF World Series tour, giving players from over 40 countries one of their final opportunities to earn points to qualify for expense paid trips to the ITSF World Series Finals in St. Vincent, Italy this October. Other 2007 ITSF competition has taken place in Australia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, India, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Romania, South Africa and the UK, among others. In fact, this year's 60-tournament, five-continent tour will be the largest table soccer pro tour ever.
