Sporting Legend Dinner for Sporting Legend Fans

February 25, 2005 -- A dinner will be held on 2nd March 2005 to celebrate Hy Money's famous 1973 crowd photo taken at Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park. The dinner will be held at the beautiful Wealden House, Centre for Wellness, Culture and Arts, East Grinstead. This was the venue for Hy Money's Sporting Legends Photographic exhibition last November.



During this previous exhibition this photo was reproduced in the press, and the public were asked if they recognized anyone in the crowd. So many people responded that it was decided to hold this celebratory dinner. In attendance will be five people who have recognized themselves in the photo, three former Crystal Palace players of that era (Nicky Chatterton, Mel Blythe and David Payne) and of course Hy Money.



Hy Money will be recording the event by taking a group photograph of the attendees.



John Wood, spokesman for Wealden House remarked 'We are very happy to host this nostalgic event for Hy, the fans and the former players'.



Hy Money, who lives in Blindley Heath, was the UK's first female sports photographer and one time official photographer for Crystal Palace.
