Affinity4 Goes RubaDubDub with The Salvation Army

After a very successful Affinity4 Goes Red Fundraiser in February to benefit our Heart Association Partner, the Affinity4 team decided to take on an outreach project each quarter this year. April is National Volunteer Month so we thought it only fitting to do a volunteer project to support a local charity or ministry.

When the Affinity4 team learned that The Salvation Army Tidewater Area Command needed help to collect items and make Rub-A-Dub-Dub Kits, we decided to organize our own Rub-A-Dub-Dub event to help this local charity. The kits are plastic bags filled with toiletry items distributed to individuals in the Salvation Army's homeless and emergency services programs. The Rub-A-Dub- Dub Kits are especially helpful when clients take showers at their Men's Shelter in Norfolk.

For two weeks in April these items were gathered to make the kits:

-    Toothbrush

-    Toothpaste

-    Dental Floss

-    Comb / Brush

-    Soap

-    Shampoo

-    Deodorant

-    Lotion

-    Wash Cloth

On Friday, April 25th the team got together in the Norfolk office to assemble the kits and have a little fun for a great cause. Rub-A-Dub-Dub kits were then presented at a small reception to Shelby Moore, Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator for the local Salvation Army.

If your charity or ministry has a volunteer opportunity that the Affinity4 team can participate in this year please email your information to dspruce@affinity4.com. We would be glad to consider assisting you with your event. Affinity4 prides itself in helping charities and ministries achieve their missions.
