Katrina Help Forum now online
On Friday at 3 p.m. est katrinahelpforum.org went online.
"The goal is to provide a communication platform and meeting ground for private citizens and groups who are trying to help survivors of hurricane Katrina."
"I was listening to the Glenn Beck program Thursday morning. I heard apartment owners and other individuals calling in. They where upset because they are trying to offer their services for Katrina survivors. They wanted to provide shelter in vacant apartments but had gotten no where with government contacts. When several people called asking to talk to previous callers it was obvious to me there was a need for a this site. These people can meet and exchange information. Maybe they can organize their efforts here and help the survivors out." - Chris Lephart President of Eclipse Graphics Inc.
http://www.katrinahelpforum.org has various forums from shelter, food and churches forums to provide a common meeting place to discuss how to organize help. Another area has been set up for those looking for lost loved ones.
katrinahelpforum.org is a non profit site. "I just wanted to help in some way and I have the resource to set this up so I did it. Im just a very small family run business and I just wanted to help in some small way. I thought it was ridiculous that something like this has not been set up so I did it myself"- Chris Lephart.
