Satire Website Shameless Publicity http://www.shamelesspublicity.com has expanded its Daily "Breaking News" Section and added a new Q&A Section.

The site differs from many other humor sites in that it: 1) provides satirical commentary in real-time; 2) covers both politics and entertainment; 3) is distinctly nonpartisan. Politicans are targeted for their penchant for the spotlight not party affiliation.

Thus it intentionally avoids being one of the polarizing, ranting websites so prevalent today that add so little to the public discourse.

Recently, Twyla Throneberry joined the Shameless staff on a full-time basis to provide her unique perspective on issues of the day.

Because of her rather diverse past, no topic seems outside of her satirical radar. Even a recent "interview" with Osama bin Laden was tinged with the sense of reality.

The point of that piece was that with all the destruction the "Prince of Darkness" has wreaked on the world, he was still just one person and not beyond being satirized.

Twyla has also done pieces on personalities ranging from Karl Rove and Hillary Clinton to Paris Hilton.

Don Keehotey, who created the website, has written on subjects ranging from former President Bill Clinton and Senator Rick Santorum to Harvard President Lawrence Summers.

The raison d'etre for Shameless Publicity is to shine a light on how the media can create news rather than report it.

Given the giant pot of space to fill every day, questionable stories are often given validity by being tossed in the same media gumbo with everything else.

Rather than believing in censorship, the site thinks that people should be exposed to all the information they can digest.

It just hopes in its own little way to encourage news consumers to carefully analyze the "chef" and "ingredients" prior to "eating."

Given the current issues in the world, the steaks, uh, stakes are too high not to.
