Boston CD Duplication Firm Introduces New CDR Media



Coptech Digital Inc., a female-owned digital-offset printing, CD/DVD and VHS duplication company, is beginning 2008 with a new kind of CD-R media. The new media allows Coptech Digital to screen-print the center of a disc without stacking rings or clear plastic inner hubs.

"Until now, when you screen printed to the center spindle hole, there was a noticeable shift in color when screen-printing over the clear plastic inner hub," said Tom Cherry, President of Coptech Digital. "However, our new media is metalized right to the center, allowing a consistent solid print to the center hole that looks really impressive."

Screen-printing from the outside edge right to the spindle hole allows for more flexibility in artwork design, and eliminates concerns about breaks in the artwork with stacking rings. Coptech Digital is currently one of the only CD duplication services in the Boston area that is offering this new style of media. Even CD replicators cannot offer this service without having to create all new molds for their replication lines.

Coptech Digital has the capacity to complete orders in the 10,000 to 20,000 piece range in 24 hours with complete in house color and quality control. When combined with digital-offset printing capabilities on their HP 3050 digital-offset press, Coptech Digital can print, duplicate and package very large jobs with quick turnaround for even the most demanding customers.
