Blinder Entities Rolls Out Software to all Consumers to Search and Preview Real Estate Listings on Smartphones and Wireless PDAs
Blinder Entities, Inc., a leading developer of software for the real estate sales industry, has released its wireless MLS listing product for use by real estate agents and brokers in San Diego. The MLSPDA 8482; Wireless MLS puts property listing information at the fingertips of real estate professionals and their clients, no matter where they are, giving them an edge in the competitive SoCal housing market.
MLSPDA 8482; allows users to retrieve Multiple Listing Service (MLS) information anytime, anywhere, direct to their SmartPhone or PDA. It is positioned as an add-on feature for broker and agent Web sites, intended to help real estate professionals extend better service to their clients by providing them with more immediate, tailored information.
MLSPDA 8482;'s MyListings feature enables clients to gather property listings based on criteria they supply in their personal profile. In addition, clients will be able to search for properties by the number of bedrooms and baths, square footage and type, as well as by street names and subdivisions or neighborhoods and MLS Number. Listings are displayed with images where available, and clients have the option to immediately contact their agent with requests to view properties.
David Blinder, president of Blinder Entities, Inc., said that the face of real estate buyer/seller representation is changing. The level of service real estate professionals have provided their customers in the past cannot compete with that offered by brokers and agents today who embrace technology and the Internet. We build the software 'gadgets' the buyers and sellers want and will ultimately demand from their agents. Our agent-focused idea became a client-focused product when we looked at the number of users.
MLSPDA 8482; supports all leading next-generation wireless handheld devices and their operating systems, including Palm OS (palmOne Treo), Pocket PC (all manufacturers including Siemens, Samsung Compaq, etc.), and BlackBerry (BlackBerry 6000 series and BlackBerry 7000 color series). More and more people are carrying these devices: According to Strategy Analytics, SmartPhone/PDA sales more than doubled from 2003 to 2004, reaching 17.5 million units or roughly 3% of the worldwide sales of handsets.
Most real estate agents and brokers in San Diego have either already embraced this technology or else plan to purchase a next-generation wireless handheld device as their next phone. Blinder Entities, Inc. believes that the number of real estate buyers and sellers currently using these devices in their day-to-day business is already large enough to support the development cost of MLSPDA 8482;, and that the benefits of the product will only multiply as consumers discover how it can help them.
The company plans to roll out MLSPDA 8482; in Orange County, CA and Las Vegas, NV within the 4th quarter 2005.
