Product Managers Embrace IdeaScope for Capturing Customer Feedback Early in Development and Planning
Often overlooked, the role of customers early in the product planning process is ever so critical. Orasi Software will be presenting 45-minute briefings on IdeaScope, a technology that enables product managers to capture, collaborate on and prioritize customers ideas, needs and preferences. Larry Boldt, VP of customer management for Orasi Software, will present IdeaScope and discuss ways in which companies today are using the technology. Dates for the briefings are Tuesdays, October 25, November 8 and December 13 at both 9:00 am and 3:00 pm each day, Eastern Time.
As was reported in the July/August issue of Software Business magazine, "Those in the ISV market and IT/Marketing organizations developing customer-facing applications can benefit from IdeaScope s Software-on-Demand model. As a hosted application, IdeaScope customers gain the benefits almost immediately without the delays associated with installation, configuration, security issues, system administration and database setup."
Orasi also continues to receive an overwhelmingly positive response to IdeaScope s add-on capability, IdeaScope Anywhere 8482;, a web services interface that embeds extensive front- and back-end functionality of IdeaScope into a company s website or software application. IdeaScope Anywhere enables organizations to gather product ideas and/or enhancement requests from their customers without ever having to switch to another application. Such touch points give organizations the ability to continuously gather valuable feedback to more effectively drive product planning and development decisions.
Boldt commented, "Oftentimes product and project managers get feedback from various individuals or departments, either external or internal to their organization, through multiple channels of communication. Eventually all those ideas need to be centralized, prioritized, ranked and filtered into what the product stakeholders want and need. Product managers must ask themselves, 'Are we capturing and managing the collective voice of our customers, or just responding to the ones who shout the loudest'"
Product managers, product marketing managers, project managers or anyone else who is responsible for ensuring a product or project meets the needs of its customers will benefit from attending these briefings. Attendees will learn how to proactively collect insight from customers to achieve buy-in, balance requested features, make objective decisions, and develop products and services that translate into growing sustainable revenue when taken to market.
