PSS, one of America's fastest growing contact center specialists, today announced its acquisition of Braintrust Professional Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of MedApps, Inc. The Scottsdale, Arizona based Braintrust team brings extensive technical expertise that bolsters PSS capabilities in several contact center technologies, including multichannel routing, CTI, intelligent call routing, workforce management, and end-to-end reporting.
This is the second acquisition by PSS in less than twelve months. In 2007 PSS acquired VSI, a technical consulting firm specializing in self-service solutions for the contact center. The
VSI acquisition expanded PSS capabilities to deliver IVR solutions based on VoiceXML, VoIP, and SOA/Web Services, as well as provide professional services for additional platforms
including Intervoice, Avaya, and Envox.
"Braintrust is an excellent fit for PSS that complements our existing strengths. As enterprises transition to new contact center technologies, now PSS can help them make that transition
as graceful as possible across the entire contact center," said Todd Funk, PSS President and CEO. "For example, PSS and Braintrust are both Genesys contact center solutions partners. This
acquisition gives PSS the capability to deliver a complete range of services from the back office to the desktop, plus 24x7x365 support, for both Genesys-based and multi-vendor contact
center solutions."
"This transaction works out very well for all stakeholders. PSS is a highly successful company focused on the contact center, and they will continue to provide a remarkable level of
service to Braintrust customers like Qwest, McKesson, and Sierra Health," said MedApps CEO Kent Dicks. "Now MedApps can concentrate its resources to strengthen our leadership position in
Mobile Wireless Health Monitoring, an emerging market where we expect to see significant growth."
