Vector Networks (http://www.vector-networks.com/) today announced the introduction of a family of Web-based business process and issue tracking solutions under the Vector Issue Tracker label.
Vector Issue Tracker incorporates a core issue tracking and escalation engine, together with a family of templates which provide data views and workflows tailored to match frequently
demanded requirements. Examples are -
- Customer (end-user) Support
- Partner (VAR, Service Provider etc) Support
- Software Change Management
- Corporate Governance procedures
- Rectification Management
- Inventory Tracking
With IT asset management becoming more seamlessly integrated into overall business management, Vector field engineers were finding that customers had a need to layer the capabilities of
Issue Tracker onto their Vector IT Asset Management installations.
The technology of Vector Issue Tracker will be familiar to users of Vector's existing HelpDesk IT support solution. Both are based on the proven Census Issue Tracking engine of Vector's
Metaquest subsidiary. With a diverse multi-national customer base, Census has evolved important integration features, such as Active Directory integration, email integration, team working
and Service Level Agreement support.
The definition and provision of the Vector Issue Tracker templates capitalises on several years of experience of supplying Census into the areas of requirement listed above. The Census
brand-name will be progressively retired, and replaced by the expanded Vector Issue Tracker range. The change places the business process management capabilities evolved in Census at the
heart of Vector's product strategy going forward.
