Team BodyTech Takes Home Gold in Vegas

Tampa's own Tim Gardner and his Bodytech Team (www.teambodytech.com) returned from Vegas with more gold than can be had at a casino. Marcus Haley (www.harcushaley.com)captured the superheavyweight title in his third attempt. Haley was hoping that the third time would be the charm and delivered on his promise to capture that title. On stage at 5' 9" and a shredded 247 pounds, Haley was the definition of professionalism when denied a pro-card by missing the overall title by a slim margin. "I can't imagine what it must feel like to be awarded a card.. " said Haley in an interview at BodyTech gym, and vowed to continue in his quest to be acknowledged as a pro. His next appearance will be in Cleveland at the North America where an overall title win will realize his dream. Haley was a class act in his balletic posing routine. "You could have heard a pin drop" remarked Gardner after the the routine. Upon returning to Tampa he commented, "I told Marcus to never give up, that no one has ever just handed anything to him and luck is never prevalent, so why expect it now. Let's show them what true-girt determination is all about." Haley's supporters continue to rally around him and all look forward to a win in Cleveland.

Other BodyTech athletes included Debbie Barnes who finished 4th in the womens lightweight division. She was well conditioned, stood femininely elegant and displayed veteran savy throughout the whole show.

Julio Del Rio captured 3rd place in a strong mens lightweight class. He was very seperated and displayed what a conditioned lightweight can look like. Del-Rio intends to return after some additional off season training.
