MoTeC joins PSCA as Contingency Sponsor

MoTeC Systems USA is proud to announce their support for the 2006 Pacific Street Car Association Drag Racing campaign. In addition to its current contingency support program for road racing, MoTeC USA has once again found a way to give something back to the racers who enjoy the use of the their products through contingency support of the PSCA which features 12 classes of exciting heads up drag racing competition.

"We are excited to be able to get onboard with Mel and the PSCA," said Shane Tecklenburg a MoTeC spokesman. "We are looking forward to stimulating the use of our products in the drag racing market and the PSCA provides us with a great opportunity to start that progress in our own backyard."

MoTeC will offer up a grand total of $44000.00 in contingency certificates for racers in 11 classes of Pacific Street Car competition from Pro Street down to Bracket 1.
The racer will receive his certificate for store credit with MoTeC USA by prominently displaying a MoTeC Decal for the season as well as using a MoTeC ECU and or CDI-8 8 Channel ignition box.

"We will offer the certificates to racers who run any of our current Engine Management lineup which starts with the M4 and M48 and extends through our M400 - 880 line of engine management systems," explained Tecklenburg. "In addition, we will offer contingency certificates for the MoTeC CDI-8 which is an 8 Channel CDI ignition than can run stand alone or can be controlled by one of our Engine Management Systems."

"The PSCA is honored to have a company with the prestige that MoTeC has in the racing industry, posting contingency for the first time in drag racing with our organization," said PSCA President Mel Roth.

"I think this is the start of something huge for drag racing in general and obviously I am happy for the racers who will be able to take advantage of this great opportunity. We have a few racers who use MoTeC now and their success speaks for itself. Our current and 3 time Pro Street Champ Ed Thornton and John Mihovetz and Clint Hairston in Pro Street and Chris Chow in Heavy Street off the top of my head all successfully use the MoTeC brand to be consistently quick and fast. I really have to say thank you to Jim Munn and Shane Tecklenburg at MoTeC for this great opportunity for our racers and once again I cant say how proud I am that a company like MoTeC would choose my organization for their support."

MoTeC USA was founded in 1988 by Jim Munn and offers engine management and data acquisition systems for all forms of motorsport. In addition to the PSCA racers, championship organizations such as Vance and Hines Motorsports, Prototype Technology Group and Toyota Racing Development and championship teams in the NHRA Powerade series, Sport Compact series, Formula Mazda Pro Series, Grand American Road Racing series, American Le Mans Series, APBA Off Shore, SCORE and CORR Off-road and SCCA all rely on MoTeC to assist them in their success.
