Another Brazilian Contract for Dex
The Estádio Olímpico Monumental in Brazil has become the second large sports stadium in that country to sign a stadium access control contract
with the South African company DexSecurity Solutions. Prior to this deal, Dex signed a SafeVenue contract
with the Brazilian Sports Club Internacional.
Dex provides the turnstiles as well as the control and management systems.
The new stadium is the home ground of the well-known soccer club Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense and can accommodate 98 000 spectators. (Picture of stadium at: http://www.gremio.com.br/site/portal/interna.aspsecao_id=16&secao_principal=16)
The South African technology for the SafeVenue Stadium Management Solution is provided by DexBrasil and DexSecurity Solutions, a South African company which forms part of the Dex Group of companies.
Johann Műller, Chairman of the Dex Group of Companies, says South Africa is one of the undisputed leaders in respect of international stadium control. The turnstile installations at the two stadiums in Brazil are more than half of all the entry gates combined that Dex provided for the Cricket World Cup in South Africa in 2002.
A Dex product development team will leave for Brazil in six weeks to assist
with the installation and management of the process.
The stadium access control technology to be applied in Brazil is the same as the highly successful technology that was implemented during the Cricket World Cup in South Africa.
