Boston Tax Firm (http://www.caturanoandcompany.com/Boston-tax-firm) Caturano and Company today announced that Jerry Brisbois, Vice President in the State and Local Tax (http://www.caturanoandcompany.com/MA-State-Tax)(SALT) group, has been appointed as the incoming co-chairman of the Boston Bar Association'ss State 's38; Local Tax committee. The position will be a two-year term effective September, 2009 which he will co-chair with a partner from the law firm of McCarter 's38; English.

The Boston Bar Association (BBA) is the most prestigious bar association in Massachusetts, with a membership that includes some of the largest law firms and public accounting firms in the state.

The BBA maintains an active Tax Section, of which the State 's38; Local Tax committee draws a large attendance for its monthly meetings featuring guest speakers from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, the Legislature, and private practices that present cutting edge state tax issues.

I am honored to be appointed to the position of co-chair for such an active and forward-thinking committee, said Brisbois. The Boston Bar Association boasts a strong membership of firms in the New England region who support the Association'ss efforts to continuously offer thought leadership, referral services, and civic involvement.
