More to Share Program Donating Nearly 40 Tons of Honeysuckle White...



As part of its national More To Share's174; hunger-fighting program, the producer of Honeysuckle White's174; and Shady Brook Farms's174; turkey products, announced today that it will once again donate nearly 40 tons worth of turkeys to help feed the hungry during the holidays. The donations are made in cooperation with Honeysuckle White and Shady Brook Farms turkey'ss valued grocery partners to benefit food banks, soup kitchens and other hunger-fighting charities.




    


Charitable organizations in 28 cities across the United States will benefit from the More To Share program by receiving donated Honeysuckle White or Shady Brook Farms turkeys this year. With current economic pressures, including the rising cost of food, more families than in years past need a helping hand. The donated turkeys will help feed hundreds of thousands of people in need this holiday season. We are proud to provide turkeys to many individuals and families in need again this year, in hopes that a nice, hot turkey dinner will make their Thanksgiving a bit brighter, said Amanda Pokorny of the Honeysuckle White and Shady Brook Farms More To Share program. However, charities such as our partners need not only food items, but money and volunteers as well. Our donation is a starting point, and we challenge other businesses and individuals across the nation to join us in helping to fight hunger however they can.



Since the More To Share program began 12 years ago, charities across the country have received more than 472 tons of Honeysuckle White and Shady Brook Farms turkey to benefit their constituents.
