Avonline Increases Its ToowayTM Satellite Broadband Service to 3.6Mbps...



Avonline plc recently announced its new offering of Eutelsat'ss 2Mbps Tooway home user Satellite Broadband service in the UK. With it'ss market leading value of 2Mbps download and 256Kbps upload from only 's163;29.99 a month, the response to the new service has been overwhelming and demand for the service has risen rapidly over the past few months.



Now, from the 1st July, customers will see Avonline'ss Tooway(TM) service increase to 3.6Mbps from 2Mbps for no added cost. Maximum uplink speeds have also increased to 384Kbps for all customers. In addition, overnight usage volumes will be discounted by 50% between midnight and 6am GMT to reward the use of the satellite network during times of traditional low usage.



Tooway'ss main features include the low cost hardware and installation together with Tooway'ss plug and play connectivity which make the service ideal for the consumer market. There are 4 packages available, all providing the same download and upload speeds but with varying levels of data usage. In addition, the Tooway service has the ability to deliver voice over satellite telephony services (VoIP) and now has the added value option of receiving Freesat High Definition digital television services from the same satellite dish.



Avonline'ss satellite broadband installation consists of a small satellite dish and a modem connected to the PC via the Ethernet, giving customers immediate broadband access following a simple installation.
