Celebrity Comedians Shoot Series of Viral Videos Spoofing Mobile Professionals

Improv comedian Bob Odenkirk ("Mr. Show", "Seinfeld", "The Ben Stiller Show") has just launched three new online comedy videos. The series of videos can be seen on YouTube's new comedy channel created for the Mobile Professionals, aka TheMoPros (http://www.youtube.com/themopros), and feature Groundlings veteran and YouTube sensation Michael Naughton ("David Blaine Street Magic"), as well as actor Paul F. Tompkins (Comedy Central, "Best Week Ever"). Bob Odenkirk writes, directs and also stars.

TheMoPros videos attempt to shatter the stereotype of the mobile professional, which are now generalized mostly as peanut-hoarding frequent fliers and traveling salesman.

The comedy videos feature Bob Odenkirk and Michael Naughton as two "brothers for hire". They are the "Brother's Brothers"; Naughton booking carousel rides for high-maintenance kiddies and Paul F. Tompkins as a disgruntled fireman (http://www.youtube.com/watchv=Grep5GRX3Ik) who decides to go freelance. All are using Samsung's Q1 Ultra Mobile PC.

The comedy videos were sponsored by Samsung and co-produced by Los Angeles-based Woo Agency. Bob Odenkirk, Michael Naughton and Paul F. Tompkins were given creative carte blanche in developing the entertainment content and shooting the videos.

Original online videos like these mark a burgeoning trend of brands funding and partnering with talent to produce online content or branded entertainment (http://www.reelpopblog.com/2008/08/odenkirk-from-m.html) for viewers to watch and share with their friends.
