Consumer review web site RateItAll (www.rateitall.com) today announced that it had expanded and improved its industry first revenue sharing program by leveraging the Google AdSense API.
"Sharing revenue with our contributors is a core aspect of our business strategy," said RateItAll CEO Lawrence Coburn. "We think it's unfair that many sites attempt to build a business on
the backs of their members, without letting them share in the upside."
RateItAll shares revenue with its members via the Google AdSense API -- software that allows visitors to RateItAll to sign up for Google AdSense during the RateItAll registration process.
RateItAll members then share advertising revenue on a 50/50 basis on the content they create, including their profiles, their reviews, and the rating categories that they publish.
"RateItAll was the first site on the web to implement revenue sharing via the Google AdSense API, and we now become one of the first to implement V3 of their API," said RateItAll CTO
Mathew Spolin. "This implementation allows clean, transparent revenue sharing across all of a page's ads, and also allows RateItAll members to easily link existing AdSense accounts to
their RateItAll account."
Revenue totals are calculated by Google, and payments are made by Google directly to participating RateItAll members.
