FooMojo, Inc. (http://www.foomojo.com/), creator of the world'ss most realistic and emotionally engaging virtual pets, today announced new relationships with the ASPCA (http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer)'s174; (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals's174;) and The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), respectively. Under the terms of the agreements, FooMojo has integrated donation options for both organizations into the online store of its FooPets (http://www.foopets.com/) virtual pet environment, now available on Facebook and the FooPets.com Web site. By enabling its over 1 million active monthly users to make donations to the ASPCA or HSUS directly from FooPets applications, FooMojo is enlisting the FooPets community to help protect animals in need and furthering its commitment to improve the lives of homeless pets. 100% of the net proceeds from donations made through FooPet applications will be directly transferred to the organizations.
We are extremely excited about our partnership with FooMojo, said Jo Sullivan, senior vice president of development and communications for the ASPCA. We really appreciate their invention
of a fun and creative way for people to learn about proper pet care and share the positive experience of pet ownership. What'ss more important to us, though, is that through FooPets, we
have the opportunity to spread the message of our life-saving work to new audiences every day.
Millions of dogs and cats are given up to shelters or left to die on the streets in the world today and we are very pleased to work with FooMojo in its effort to help improve this tragic
reality, said John Balzar, senior vice president of communications for the HSUS. We thank the FooPets community for its generous support as we continue to protect dogs, cats and other
animals from cruelty and suffering.
FooMojo (http://www.foomojo.com/) also made corporate donations to both the ASPCA and HSUS in the amount of $20,000 each. Through its non-profit
organization, the FooPets Foundation, FooMojo donates 1% of its stock, 2% of its employees's time and 100% of net donations to charitable causes that help protect animals in need.
FooPets (http://www.foopets.com/) are a symbol of the emotional bond that develops when people engage in the lives of their pets and personally grow
from ensuring their animal'ss well being, said Dr. Ron Hornbaker, veterinarian, founder and chief executive officer, FooMojo, Inc. Improving the lives of shelter animals is a core mission
of FooMojo. As individuals, we are limited in the number of animals we can personally care for so we felt it was important to involve the FooPet community in our larger efforts and enable
our users to join us in supporting organizations that support animals in need. We are honored to work with the ASPCA and The Humane Society of the United States.
