Krumlr (http://www.krumlr.com), an innovative social network, was soft launched almost two weeks ago after receiving positive reviews from test participants and early adopters. Targeted to young, technology savvy users, Krumlr facilitates others following users through their day and highlights the most popular articles and websites on the front page.
We have now added a new feature based on feedback from some of our users, said Pete Wingard, Krumlr'ss developer. With Krumlr you can now easily 'stweet's any Page Krum on the site.
Tweeting (micro-blogging) is what Twitter users call their posts on Twitter. Many Twitter users like to post links to interesting web pages with their tweets. Since tweets are limited to
140 characters, the URLs usually need to be miniaturized. This process requires copy and pasting the original URL into a service like TinyURL to get a smaller URL that that you then copy
and paste back into to your post. Krumlr will do all this for you automatically. We are very excited about this feature. We feel it helps bridge the gap between social bookmarking and
Twitter, says Wingard.
Krumlr (http://www.krumlr.com) has captured many of the favorite features of other popular social networking websites like Digg, Delicious, and Stumble
Upon and incorporated them into a simplified social bookmarking system. Whenever you discover a page worth sharing, you can choose to Add-a-Krum from your browser toolbar and save it with
a simple click for other Krumstrs who follow you. This way, other people in your social network can then track your Trail Krum activity throughout the day as you can theirs. The more
popular Page Krums are promoted to the front page for everyone to see.
Krumstrs can also build online catalogs of bookmarks on subjects of interest for sharing with others as well as saving bookmarks for private use. And Krumlr works great on the Apple
iPhone so you can add and drop 'sKrums's and 'stweet's them away from your desk.
