A new network has been established on the internet and it is expected to experience explosive growth.
Timothy L. Drobnick Sr, an internet entrepreneur since 1995 has launched a network of city or town portals that is expected to reach 50% of the world population within 3 years.
That would seem to be a bit over optimistic, but looking at the concept of this new network and Mr. Drobnick s previous marketing records, it could actually be realized.
Mr. Drobnick has built internet networks many times before. In 1998 he invented the internet s first self expanding banner advertising network called Profit Banners. Within 60 days of
launch 50,000 people had placed the banners on their website and the network continued to grow until by 2004 over one billion banner impressions had been delivered.
Unfortunately the effectiveness of traditional sized banners had become almost non-existant by 2004, so Mr. Drobnick discontinued the free service.
Also in 1998 he launched one of the first internet malls at MyShoppingPlace.com and recruited over 1,200 stores into the mall. In 1999 Mr. Drobnick refused a buy out for millions of
dollars and still operates that website today.
In 1999 he started the first service for people to sell web hosting as their own ISP completely branding themselves, but set up for people that were internet newbies. Over 1000 people
joined this network. Mr. Drobnick continues to operate that system today and makes upgrades and improvements to the system on a regular basis.
Starting in 2002 Tim secretly started developing the concept of the unionized city portals. Many portals were showing great success, and even the first ones Mr. Drobnick created were
quite successful. But to get the competitive edge he knew he must create a strong union among city portals.
Mr. Drobnick has devoted a lot of time to studying the success of other businesses, and noticed a trend among new categories of businesses. He discovered that Blockbuster founder Wayne
Huizenga created the gigantic movie rental super power by going to the then thousands of small video rental businesses and offering to purchase their business and hire the owners as
managers.
When an owner refused to sell out, Mr. Huizeng simply opened a competing shop and put them out of business.
Waste Management founder, Dean L. Buntrock, the gigantic trash pickup conglomerate built his business similarly buying up mom and pop trash pickup companies and hiring the owners to
manage them. Today Waste Management is the largest world power in trash pickup.
Mr. Drobnick believes the formula that created their success is that the network was mostly built from people who had the guts to build their own businesses and would make the perfect
associates for a major company that was in need of a local presense in each town or city.
This was exactly what Mr. Drobnick was dreaming of, a gigantic powerful network made up of the cream of the crop associates in every city and town. The entrepreneur.
But first Tim had to perfect the portal and thus has spent the last 3 years and thousands of programing hours with dozens of changes and upgrades after testing each phase.
Now Mr. Drobnick believes he has the perfect formula and is seeking a person in each town who also believes that this is the correct formula.
With over 100 towns/cities under his belt, Mr. Drobnick announced today that he is now ready for major expansion and hopes to have over 1000 portals with ambitious local associates by the
end of 2006, and 5000 portals by the end of 2008.
Already the network has doubled in unique visitors within the last 4 months from 200,000 to 500,000 unique visitors monthly. Tim predicts that by the end of 2006 the network will be
receiving over 9 million unique visitors monthly.
Portal directors, as Tim calls them, will be instantly plugged into the greater system to receive the potential benefit of all traffic in the entire network of portals. Portal directors
may become local celebrities as they become the top used portal of their local town. Mr. Drobnick observed, It s a win win situation. The portal director and our company both recieve the
traffic we want. The local director gets the glory, traffic, and income.
How is the launch being received so far Pretty Good, proclaimed Mr. Drobnick. Already I had one man fly 14 hours from Australia to spend the day with me. He wanted to wrap up 7 major
portals for 7 major cities in Australia. I liked the guy and he went home with the deal under his belt. It seems people do understand the potential of this new concept.
