Christian James, Inc. has launched an initiative to increase PayGo exposure in the Windows retail software market. PayGo POS is the company's cross-platform retail solution dedicated to the independent business owner. The kick-off event is the "Cool-Looking PayGo PC Retail Workstation" promotion, which starts today and includes promotional giveaways from the recommended PC manufacturer, Velocity Micro.

"We are unique in the retail industry because we have grown our company on the Macintosh platform," said Laura Haapala-Peterson, COO of Christian James, Inc. "We will always love the Mac platform, but we realize that the Windows platform provides a vast market with niche opportunities that fit in with our unique strengths."

Nearly eighty percent of PayGo's customers utilize the Macintosh operating system, but the company plans to even out the distribution by concentrating on specific industries and customer profiles. The company will offer promotions and incentives to introduce Velocity Micro to independent retailers who often have the need for powerful computers to handle a multitude of business and productivity applications.

"We are impressed with Velocity Mirco's products," said Haapala-Peterson. "Our customers have to do it all and they can't do it on PC's with inferior hardware. Velocity has robust and sharp-looking products which will appeal to a subset of our customers."
