Plixer Announces Network Monitoring Updates in Scrutinizer 5.5 QoS...

Network management and analysis tools leader, Plixer International Inc. announces the launch of Scrutinizer NetFlow & sFlow Analyzer (http://www.plixer.com/products/scrutinizer_new.php) version 5.5, incorporating advancements in network monitoring. The latest version of Plixer's industry leading network traffic analyzer expands its feature set with Quality of Service (QoS) reporting and Autonomous Systems support.

Adding support for Autonomous Systems allows network administrators to see how much traffic is traveling between registered collections of IP networks and routers that use the same routing policies. Grouping devices in a variety of ways for performance and network monitoring (http://www.plixer.com/) purposes can be a challenge. Plixer has made data presentation a priority in version 5.5.

The new QoS (http://www.plixer.com/products/scrutinizer_new.php) reports are based on Type of Service (ToS) and Differentiated Services (DiffServ) standards. Users can now verify that priority protocols are being routed appropriately; answering the question, "Who is using these priorities and with what applications"

Some additional new features found in Scrutinizer NetFlow & sFlow Analyzer 5.5 include:

* More Data Options

Trends in bytes and packets per second (i.e. no longer limited to bits/second)

* Custom Report Enhancements

    -Source and Destination IP address ranges (i.e. from these IPs to these IPs)

    -Excluding any criteria (i.e. no longer limited to includes only)

    -QoS and Autonomous Systems

* MPLS Reporting

Experience advanced custom reporting that supports MultiProtocol Label Switching.

* Custom Report Grouping

Useful when creating tremendous amounts of Custom Reports.

* Mapping Enhancements

Create more detailed and comprehensive network maps with the ability to add text boxes, shapes, etc.

* Alarming Enhancements

Expanded alarm conditioning that makes recognizing irregular traffic patterns easier.
