C-TREC, a leading Houston-based corporate information technology education company, and has acquired one of its chief competitors, Hilton Computer Strategies, to create the dominant regional player for companies to turn to for quality IT learning solutions. The combined company, called C-TREC Hilton IT Academy, boasts the top IT educators and the most comprehensive range of courses in greater Houston.
The companies have been key IT education brands in Houston for a combined 45 years. By consolidating these players in a fragmented IT education segment, the move will enhance the
selection and quality of programs available.
Customers of the two companies will now have available to them a broader range of top quality IT courses in subjects related to infrastructure, desktop, project management, software
development, security, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, and wireless, all under one roof.
The acquisition also advances C-TREC's model of investing in in-house capabilities to ensure customers have greater access to highly trained and certified IT educators.

Verma will become Chairman of the privately held company. He is also CEO of Houston information security company Blue Lance Inc. Jeff Hilton, who founded Hilton Computer Strategies
in1986, will have no management role but will act as a consultant in the areas of IT and business processes.
