Eight 1000.00 Permanent Cosmetic Technology Scholarships forAugust...



Lasting Effects TM Permanent Cosmetic Institute is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for people wishing to learn how to apply professional level permanent cosmetics. Eight $1,000.00 Economic Opportunity Scholarships are available for the for the fall or winter 2009 classes at the state approved career school, Lasting Effects TM Permanent Cosmetic Institute.



The scholarships are for tuition reduction. The school is now in the sixth year of operation and is one of the only state approved, higher education schools in the USA dedicated to Permanent Cosmetic Education. It is affiliated with the Lasting Effects Clinic, a leader in the field for 20 years and scholarship sponsor.



Applicants must have a 2008 personal income of less than $60,000.00 a year, and submit a selection application. Students from across the county are welcome to apply. The Permanent Cosmetic Technology course teaches lifelike, hair stroke eyebrows, smooth eyeliner and blended lipliner using a professional machine. This technique, called Natural Look was invented by Lasting Effects TM owner Roxanne in 1991.



Classes are 90 hours, part time over four weeks. Graduates are eligible to take the PC-MEDS Board Exam, for discounts on professional insurance and to attend advanced one day seminars on scar cover-up techniques. The school is in Timonium, MD and located 10 miles from Baltimore, 50 miles from Washington D.C., is within 1- 1 1/2 hours of Philadelphia 's38; Delaware, as well as three hours from New York. Convenient to the airport and near major hotels.



Permanent Cosmetic Technicians tend to work independently; inside or adjacent to salons 's38; spas, medical offices or in their own private practice. It is a popular field and well suited for retirees, cosmetology workers, nurses, allied health workers, and those starting new careers.



Roxanne is the owner of Lasting Effects TM permanent Cosmetic Institute and Clinic. Her professional credentials in permanent cosmetics include writing the suggested the state law for the Virginia Permanent Cosmetic regulations, including a requesting separate board license for permanent cosmetics. All her suggestions were adopted in the state law. She also founded Permatasia- the East Coast Permanent Cosmetic Convention and PC-MEDS, the Permanent Cosmetic Medical, Educational and Development Society and Board Exam.
