Wright Line Underwrites APCO Scholarship Fund

Wright Line today announced its sponsorship of the APCO International Commercial Advisory Committee (CAC) Scholarship Fund. The fund provides annual scholarships to public safety communications professionals who have long-term career goals and who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in public safety communications.

Begun as a way for APCO'ss commercial members to give back to the public safety community, the 12-month scholarships are applied toward an (APCO) approved list of professional training programs.

In honor of the 75th anniversaries of both Wright Line and APCO, we are supporting this very deserving educational initiative, said Ed Bednarcik, CEO of Wright Line. These scholarships provide a tangible way of helping to create future leaders within the public safety industry. Wright Line is proud to contribute to APCO'ss philanthropic efforts and happy to lend its support to such a worthwhile program.

In addition to demonstrating a commitment to continuing education and self improvement, scholarship candidates must also be APCO members and employed for at least one year within a public safety communications field.

Our CAC Scholarship Fund provides a unique opportunity to further the development of future public safety communications professionals, said APCO International President Chris Fischer. Wright Line'ss generous contribution is graciously accepted on behalf of our scholarship program and our 75th anniversary.

Funds contributed by Wright Line will be applied to scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year.
