Sony Ericsson Announces a New Walkman Phone the W550i



After announcing the W600a back in June, Sony Ericsson today came forward with a new Walkman phone, the Sony Ericsson W550i. This handset has the exact same features of the W600a, except the GSM frequency.

This Tri-band / GPRS cellular includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, with a 4x digital zoom, a 262.000 color display (176 x 220 pixel). The 256MB internal memory will allow users to store between 60 and 120 MP3 tracks, which really depends on the bit rate. The battery of the W550i will give listeners 30 hours of music. Other features include two stereo speakers, FM radion, Bluetooth technology, USB.

Sony Ericsson will launch the W550i in the early fourth quarter of this year. The company also said that the W600a, which was announced in June, will become W600i and will be shipping in Q4.
