BI Incorporated, a leading national provider of offender supervision and reentry services, announced today a multi-year licensing agreement with AnyTransactions, Inc., makers of roboCUFF Voice Supervision Services. Under terms of the agreement, BI will market, sell and support the roboCUFF products beginning in June. These products will add to BI's extensive continuum of technologies used by correctional and pre-trial service agencies to manage offenders released to community supervision.
BI's licensing agreement with AnyTransactions involves two products. These products will be sold as BI VoiceID and BI Self Report, both powered by roboCUFF. No equipment is needed (other
than a phone) and the systems enable officers to enroll or remove clients remotely in just a few minutes.
BI VoiceID, powered by roboCUFF
BI VoiceID, powered by roboCUFF, is an economical supervision tool for adult and juvenile offenders or pre-trial release defendants. This automated system monitors clients through random
or pre-scheduled daily telephone check-ins at a client's home, work, school or other approved locations. Supervising officers can select and tailor protocols for clients based on risks,
needs and schedules. A combination of inbound and outbound calls enables officers to monitor the whereabouts of each client and compliance with conditions of release.
BI Self Report, powered by roboCUFF
BI Self Report, powered by roboCUFF, is a proven case management tool. This system is ideal for relieving officer workload associated with administrative or "banked" caseloads. Banked
caseloads involve probationers or parolees who are nearing the end of their sentence or have risk assessments that require less frequent contact than standard supervision. Using BI Self
Report, clients call an automated system to easily report status changes, compliance with conditions of release, basic changes in employment or home address, attendance at treatment
programs and more.
"Agencies want a vendor that can supply a complete range of solutions to support their supervision efforts. We look forward to incorporating roboCUFF into our mix of monitoring tools for
officers," said Jock Waldo, BI Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations. "For a low cost, our customers will receive sophisticated tools that use the best voice technology
available and they will receive BI's complete technical and customer support."
Eric Tumperi, AnyTransactions President and CEO, said: "We are committed to continuing to provide voice supervision services in support of the needs of criminal justice agencies, and we
value this new relationship with BI as an exciting opportunity to accelerate our growth on the path we began more than five years ago."
To enroll on either system, a client provides a voiceprint by responding to a series of prompts. This baseline voiceprint is then matched to the caller's voiceprint each time he or she
calls into the system. A voiceprint is unique to each person, may be verified in seconds and is easy to obtain. Violation alerts are forwarded to officers using the methods that are
convenient and appropriate to their work patterns and caseloads. Officers review and resolve client reporting exceptions and make schedule updates via a password-protected web site.
