ElutraSep, Inc. today announced the commercial launch of the Cryptonite's8482; Filter Module for Cryptosporidium and Giardia testing. www.elutrasep.com/app-Cryptosporidium.asp
Cryptonite's8482; is a filtration module designed to capture and concentrate Cryptosporidium and Giardia from non-filtered source and finished water samples.
Following last months successful Cryptonite HV (high volume unit) launch, Cryptonite is a more compact design for laboratories wishing to reduce filter and associated labor costs. The
standard Cryptonite unit is less expensive than competitive filters and offers laboratories the ability to eliminate centrifugation prior to the IMS step.
The true strength of our hollow fiber technology is the extremely low elution volumes required to recover concentrated organisms. These low elution volumes are providing our customers
with the ability to eliminate centrifugation and go directly to IMS , said Jason Holt, president and CEO of ElutraSep. It'ss great to see the excitement when the technician realizes how
easy it is to hook up two syringes and elute from the module. The ability to elute with less than a 10 milliliter volume, skip centrifugation and pay half as much per filter is a dream
come true for laboratories conducting hundreds of tests per month, said Jason. We already have quite a few laboratories conducting their own tier 1 validations and expect more as the word
gets out.

ElutraSep, Inc. provides concentration technologies and kits that aid in the detection of microorganisms from liquid samples. Primary product lines utilize inter-capillary capture of
organisms via specially designed hollow fiber membranes.
