Healthx Announces New Group Purchasing Division Synergy Solutions



Healthx technology solutions connect healthcare constituents (payers, providers, employers, members, brokers and trading partners) with services that make healthcare benefits more convenient and affordable. Synergy Solutions, a new division of Healthx, acts as a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) on behalf of over 220 Healthx clients, representing the largest network of independent payers in the nation. Synergy Solutions selects value added third-party solutions and integrates those solutions into Healthx's industry leading technology platform for seamless delivery into the market.



Synergy Solution's group buying power reduces the time and cost to exchange relevant healthcare research and analysis and brings newer, more cost-effective solutions to the market faster. Synergy Solutions leverages Healthx payer relationships to negotiate better prices with vendors who offer value added healthcare tools and technology.



Healthx represents over 220 payers across the United States, making the payers we serve the fourth largest provider of benefit plans in the country. According to Greg Bell, President and CEO of Healthx, "We must constantly enhance our services to enable our payers and their clients to make better and more cost effective healthcare decisions. Synergy Solutions, Healthx's new division, will be lead by Bob Carlson. Our new division will identify best products, negotiate best prices and use best practices to lower the cost of healthcare for payers and the employers they serve."
