Jacksonville WorkSource Partners With FCCJ to Deliver Virtual Video...

Sarasota-based Interview USA, Inc. has been selected by Jacksonville WorkSource and FCCJ to deliver InterviewUSA's Virtual Video Interviews for both job seekers and employers. The Partnership is one of the first Workforce Board/Community College Parterships to deliver Virtual Video Interviews in the nation, and it is a model already being emulated.

As part of Jacksonville WorkSource's ongoing effort to be on the cutting edge of new technology and services, WorkSource felt that IUSA's technology would give its job seekers a distinct advantage as they seek employment opportunities in the six county region of northeast Florida and beyond. Job seekers at WorkSource will be able to record Virtual Video Interviews both to practice their interviewing skills, and include the final interview as a link to distribute or respond to employers. Students at the nearby Florida Community College-Jacksonville, where WorkSource provides services, will enjoy the same technology, and it is attracting the interest of major employers in the region.

"WorkSource purchased the Virtual Video Interview system to help us take our services to business to the next level," said Candace Moody, Vice President, Marketing & Communications. "The system will give companies the opportunity to screen candidates quickly and invest in interviewing only those with the right level of enthusiasm. The market for talent is tight right now, and the company that shortens its time to hire will be more competitive."

"Our partnership with local colleges includes helping find opportunities for recent graduates. The Virtual Video Interview system will help graduates hone their interviewing skills as they get ready to launch new careers. You can't see qualities like soft skills or communication skills or a passion for the industry by looking at a resume. The Virtual Video Interview system helps a recruiter see the whole person" said Candace.

WorkSource is also excited to make the solution available to separating military and spouses in the region who will be transitioning to the civilian job market, in some cases for the first time. Jacksonville is home to two Naval Air Stations, and is the closest metropolitan area to the nearby Kings Bay Naval Base. InterviewUSA is also pursuing several veteran services initiatives for separating active service personnel and the underserved demobilizing Guard and Reserves.

The patent-pending Virtual Video Interview system conducts interviews, which are then digitally available for employers around the globe to review via the World Wide Web. Job Seekers send prospective employers a link to their interview along with their resum.

11% of the nation's workforce will begin retiring in three years. As baby-boomers retire, it is expected that competition for good employees will heat up in many occupations not already plagued with national shortages. Employers that can identify better employers faster and get them to hire will be at a competitive advantage. The Virtual Video Interview System makes interviews available to employers on an enterprise basis in minutes.

"The Virtual Video Interview really gives the job seekers an advantage over others because an employer is immediately able to get a feel for the applicant's personality, their demeanor, their communication skills, and enthusiasm. These are elements that are impossible to get from just a resume," said Raj Doraisamy, CEO of Interview USA, Inc.
