Micronet Launches US Operations to Further Strengthen its Presence...

Micronet (http://www.micronet.co.il), a leading global OEM provider of Mobile Data Terminals (http://www.micronet.co.il/Mobile_Data_Terminals.html) (MDTs), today officially announced the opening of a US sales office as part of a strategic plan to further expand the company's presence in the North American Mobile Resource Management (MRM) market.

Micronet, the MRM industry's premier MDTs supplier, intends to broaden its product and service portfolio, via synergistic acquisitions and by exploring joint venture opportunities with technology partners and industry leaders in North America.

"This strategic move aims at leveraging Micronet's already strong, long standing, international market position" said Rafi Katz, Micronet's CEO. "This will allow us to utilize our available monetary resources and rich software and hardware experience in the Mobile data space."

As part of its U.S. expansion plan, Micronet appointed Douglas Leu to the new position of Director of Professional services - Americas. Based at the company's office in Fair Lawn, NJ, Leu will assume responsibility for software Professional services in the territory, covering Micronet's latest MDT product platforms, the Net-960 WinCE and on the newly announced M-Series Mobile Data Terminals (http://www.micronet.co.il/M-Series.html), running on ThreadX RTOS.
