Ventraq -- a leader in profit and performance building solutions for communication service providers and large enterprises - today announced it has extended its OEM agreement with Cisco to continue its Cisco-branded Billing and Measurement Server (BAMS) for communication service providers (CSPs).
This FCAPS-supported server collects, formats, and stores billing and measurements data from the Cisco Media Gateway Controller (MGC). BAMS-formatted data can then be processed by the
CSP'ss billing system and other measurement collection and reporting systems.
This agreement continues the long-standing OEM relationship between Ventraq and Cisco and allows Cisco to upgrade its BAMS Edge Server solution with the latest Ventraq features and
functionality.
Strengthening our partnership with Cisco is important to Ventraq, said John Loughlin, executive vice president and general manager of mediation for Ventraq. Tier 1 and 2 service providers
can now rely with greater confidence on the Cisco-branded BAMS solution for successfully managing the event data within their revenue stream.
For nearly a decade, the Cisco BAMS Edge Server solution has been managing billions of records each day for Tier 1 and Tier 2 service providers around the globe.
