We wanted to give people a chance to hear something fresh," show organizer and band frontman Jason Winkler explains. "The music is going to be innovative, on the cutting edge and totally sick. We're mixing genres, styles and total musicianship to make something really unique. Winklerfest is all about the sound of tomorrow."

Jason and his band will rock the house, debuting songs from his upcoming EP; which features a unique mix of groove influenced rock with pop undertones. The EP includes instant smashes such as "Naked" produced by superstar production team The Underdogs (Justin Timberlake, Beyonce) as well as producers and musicians whose credits include the likes of Prince, Christina Aguilera, Elton John, 2Pac, Grammy Awards and more. Jason Winkler and band are fresh from performing live for Star 98.7 at the Key Club and are preparing to take SXSW (South By Southwest) by storm this spring.

"We have some great things happening for us right now and we've made a lot of friends in L.A. since we started, so we just wanted to do this show as a chance to really party with them and show them what we can do," Jason continues.

While Jason Winkler's band plans to take the stage by storm, they won't be alone. Also slated to hit the stage is urban newcomer Porta Prince. Named for the capital city of Haiti, Porta Prince delivers an infectious style of hip-hop, which combines smoothly crafted lyrics over hypnotic beats. He will perform songs from his upcoming debut release, which will feature performances from heavyweights such as Akon, Keyshia Cole, Ray J and Mya.

"I'm excited to be playing Winklerfest because it's a blending of genres," Porta Prince says. "My music is 'hip hop' but I get a lot of influence from Linkin Park, Fleetwood Mac and Michael Jackson because that's what I listen to, so I think it will have appeal for a wide range of people."

Winklerfest's third incarnation will also feature performances by L.A. players Incoming and Aviation Hero with a not to be missed set by DJ Reverence.

Winklerfest will take place at Hollywood's historic Knitting Factory - 7021 Hollywood Blvd. Showtime starts at 9:30p.m. All ages welcome. Tickets are $7. Other performers include Incoming, Aviation Hero and DJ Reverence.
