Santa observes, "This voting block is twice as large as the total number of veterans, as large as the number of African-American voters, and as large as the number of voters over 65--equaling about one quarter of all eligible voters and 40% of the number of voters in the last general election."
Santa doesn't understand why, "Obama and McCain are ignoring millions of adult voters, including politicians, newscasters, talk show hosts, and others in almost every profession, who suffered as children the very same political indifference 2 million vulnerable children in dire straits suffer today."
Last year and the year before, Santa visited every Governor's staff throughout the United States and discussed a variety of children's issues. Santa notes, "The states have not met and cannot meet all children's needs. I have no doubt that simply by streamlining and coordinating several existing systems, we can improve the lives of all children without spending more than we already have allocated at the federal level for children's services and programs."
Santa emphasizes that, "The political parties have spent obscene amounts of money on advertising and conventions that easily could have been spent resolving important and immediate children's issues, all the while refusing even to recognize, let alone discuss, the real plight of children in their own country."
Santa invites everyone interested in expressing their dissatisfaction with Obama and/or McCain to visit www.SantasLink.net and anonymously "vote" for Santa right now. And, he has a new question for Obama and McCain, "One lump, or two" --Of coal.
