When Todd Cardin wrote Dramamine High www.dramaminehigh.com , he wasn'st trying to send a message to anyone. Yet, the message seems to be
getting through. Everyone in the audience kept saying that this play needed to be seen by every high school and middle school student. It had a powerful message, a puzzled Todd Cardin
said. It was a play that was intended only to be funny, not preachy, but it seems to have delivered.
Beginning next spring Dramamine High www.dramaminehigh.com will be performed by over thirty different middle schools across the county. Cardin
teamed up with Ronald Hilliard from the National Anti Bully Alliance for Kindness. The opportunity to see another theater group put on one of his works is going to be challenging and
exciting for Cardin. In addition this is the perfect opportunity to show his work to a wider audience.
Cardin has donated the rights to the play to NABAK to maximize his exposure but also because he believes in the organization. A lot of young people have a good idea of what bullying is
because they see it every day. Bullying happens when someone hurts or scares another person on purpose and the person being bullied has a hard time defending himself or herself. Usually,
bullying happens over and over. Whatever the reason, bullying is something we all need to think about. Whether we'sve done it ourselves or whether friends or other people we know are
doing it we all need to recognize that bullying has a terrible effect on the lives of young people. It may not be happening to you today, but it could tomorrow. Working together, we can
make the lives of young people better.
Dramaine High www.dramaminehigh.com played to sold out audiences earlier this year and was critically acclaimed. Todd Cardin is currently
touring in 1MBa One Man Busey in New York City.
